Remote Work Tip: Working Across Time Zones

When Working Remotely but Synchronously

Having worked remotely for many years, and managed remote teams who were working from different locations, I've picked up a few tips and tricks along the way.

One of the things I found a little challenging to begin with was working out everyones time zones and how to find a time that suited when we had a need to work synchronously.

Tip #1: Adding Time Zones to your Calendar

You may or may not know, that you can display different time zones in your calendar! I use different calendars for different clients and I find it easier, to include the main time zone of the client along side my own time zone. You can of course, add more than one, so add away if that works for you.

This feature is available in the two calendars I use, Outlook and Google.

Tip #2: Welcome to World Time Buddy

World Time Buddy, a free web based time zone converter was a game changer for me!

Especially when working with more than one other time zone.
